This project focused on designing the packaging for Maria Jasmine Rice, a high-quality rice product that emphasizes its Thai origin and the aromatic fragrance of jasmine rice. The goal was to create a packaging design that would attract consumers looking for premium rice.

The task was to design a packaging that would effectively communicate the authenticity and premium quality of Jasmine Rice, while also standing out on retail shelves to attract potential buyers.

Strategy

The packaging was designed to stand out on FMCG retail shelves by using vibrant blue tones and elegant typography. We ensured the rice's premium and authentic Thai origin was clearly communicated through elements like the use of an elephant illustration and the phrase "Thai Hom Mali." These details help reinforce the product’s quality.

Design

The design features a clean and fresh layout with a striking blue and green color palette. The elephant graphic adds a touch of cultural significance, linking the product to its Thai roots. The name "Maria" is displayed in a modern, approachable font, making the product easy to identify. Clear labeling with both English and Spanish provides accessibility to a wide consumer base.

Outcome

The packaging design successfully conveyed the premium quality and authenticity of Jasmine Rice, contributing to increased brand recognition and appeal. Its vibrant and culturally rich design helped position the product as a premium rice option on shelves.
